On June 29, on the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, 25 years ago, Remigiusz Kalski S.J. was ordained to the priesthood. The Church celebrated this important event for Catholics in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, June 30.
Also on this day, the community said goodbye to Brother Tai S.J., who completed his 2-year apostolic practice in Kyrgyzstan, and will then go on to study at Santa Clara University in America.
For the last 14 years, Father Remigiusz has been serving in Kyrgyzstan. He began his ministry in a parish in the south, in Jalal-Abad, and currently serves as rector of the parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Bishkek. Apostolic administrator Father Anthony Corcoran S.J. and the faithful communities thanked Father Remigiusz for his many years of work and service in the field of God in Kyrgyzstan, expressing sincere joy. And after the solemn Mass, the faithful organized a festive concert. Together with the faithful of the parish, his brothers of the Society of Jesus from Poland, Russia and Belarus came to congratulate Father Remigiusz Kalski S.J.
